As a member of the international business development team the main responsibility shall be to support the RM and BDM of the assigned territory to increase the company’s exports & manage day to day operations for existing and prospective clients.

Engage in proactive learning about the company’s existing activities, operations, channels, product range, strength, weakness and other details during the initial part of the job to strengthen your acumen for the role.

Conduct preliminary market survey of the region assigned and prepare a comprehensive database by visiting consulates, export promotion councils, libraries, trade fairs, industry journals, internet search etc.

Run regular mass mailer campaigns in the assigned territory for effective sales promotion.

Maintain a database of all leads generated from the assigned territory and their progress reports with updated status and milestones achieved with every lead.

Create and manage a database of all necessary information including but not limited to samples, outstanding orders, payment due dates and more.

Assist in preparing travel plans and visits/participation in conferences and exhibitions in the assigned territory.

Develop close and cordial relationships with select major customers and distributors in the assigned region as well as with internal departments for day-to-day conversations and follow-ups.

• Should have a pleasing personality & a positive attitude.
• Should possess good interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Must be conversant with Export-Import Policy; Shipping Inco Terms; Payment options for international business (LC’s, CAD etc).
• Should be preferably living in western suburbs of Mumbai.
• Must be well conversant with MS Office Basic (especially Word, Excel, PPT) to prepare comprehensive reports & presentations.
